How long does my hair need to be?
To receive the optimum result from your wax the best amount of growth time would be between 3-4 weeks, but preferably 4 weeks from either your: Last wax, shave or hear removal cream application. this is approximately 0.5cm to 1cm in growth.
Should I trim my hair?
No, doing this can result in the hair being too short to wax and if it's a thong or Brazilian wax, trimming the hair is part of the treatment.
How long will my wax last?
Your wax will usually last approximately 2 weeks before you start seeing little hairs come back through, this is different for every person and hair free time after waxing can vary. For the first 3-4 months the time being hair free can vary after waxing as the hair is trying to get into a routine of growth (there are different hair growth stages), but after this the hair regrowth will be at its optimum and you should get approximately 2 weeks form your wax.
Can I have a sunned before my wax?
No. Going for a sunbed before a wax can cause damage to the skin and can result in not being able to receive a wax. Sunbeds should be avoided for between 24-48 hours minimum prior to waxing.
Can I go for a sunbed after a wax?
No. Going for a sunbed after a wax can result in damage to the skin. The skin is more likely to become burnt by the UV Ray's resulting in blistering or damage to the skin. Sunbeds should be avoided for between 24-48 hours minimum after a wax.
Can I still get waxed when I am on a menstrual cycle?
Yes, just come along with a fresh tampon inserted and you can still be waxed. This is a very normal practice and happens all the time so no need to be embarrassed.
Can I get waxed if I'm pregnant?
Of course it's perfectly fine to be waxed whilst being pregnant. Although if it's the first time you are being waxed, the best time to be waxed would be after 12 weeks as during the first trimester this is the most precious time of pregnancy.
Can I get waxed after having a baby?
Of course it's perfectly fine and normal to be waxed after giving birth. Although the advised time after giving birth varies for each person and a doctor should be consulted after any stitches/surgery.
I'm worried it's going to hurt when I get waxed?
It's not "pain free", but it's over super quick and to make it less painful there is a pre-wax treatment that you can add onto your waxing experience. It's the Perron Rigot Pre-cooling gel which is applied too the intimate area approximately 15-20 minutes prior to your treatment which gives a nice cooling affect and helps to numb to area.
What type of wax do you use?
The brand of wax is Perron Rigot, and the type of wax is either hot wax or warm wax. The application of either hot or warm wax is dependant on the area being waxed and the clients needs to suit their skin. There are different types of hot wax which aid in giving the best result from waxing and can be used on the body and facial area. The Warm wax (strip) are antibacterial and to give that extra bit of sparkle there is glitter in the wax.

Lash Lift £35

Lash Lift F.A.Q.s

top
What is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift is an advancement on the old fashioned “lash perm”. Unlike the perming rods used in the past, new specially created silicone pads lift the lashes from the root only, creating a subtle, natural looking lift, giving the illusion of length, and making the eyes appear more open.
How long does a Lash Lift last for?
Even if you just want to appear more alert and wide awake without using eyelash curlers and mascara every morning, you will love a lash Lift. The treatment takes just 45 minutes- 1 hour but the results can last up to 6 weeks, depending on the length and quality of your own lashes.
Does the Lash Lift procedure hurt?
No the procedure is totally painless. You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes for this time, it offers you a chance to relax during the treatment.
Is the procedure safe?
Yes. Lashes are lifted onto our specially shaped lifting pads before products are applied.
Will I have a reaction to the lotion?
Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you pop in to the salon prior to your appointment to have a patch test 24-48 hours beforehand. A patch test is quick and simple. It consists of us placing 4 drops of lotions behind the ears and leaving for 24 hours and waiting to see if any subsequent irritation occurs over the next 24 hours such as redness, itching or inflammation for example.
I wear contact lenses, can I have this procedure?
Yes. However, we will ask you to remove them temporarily during the treatment as the eyes will be closed throughout.
Can I wear makeup after my lash lift?
Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.
